Nestled in the lush green rolling hills of Northeastern Oklahoma's "Green Country," our beautiful Grand Lake O' the
Cherokees is a mere stone's throw from Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri and is one of the favorite of all Oklahoma
Lakes. Formed by Pensacola Dam, built in the early 1940's and still the world's longest multiple arch dam, Grand Lake
provides the perfect opportunity to get away from it all. Sailboats on Oklahoma's Grand Lake O' The Cherokees. With a
1,300 mile shoreline, Grand Lake is the premier water park of all Oklahoma Lakes. Fishing, boating, skiing and the scenic
wonder of the lake make it the favorite of visitors and locals alike. Off the water, you'll find fine dining, fairs, festivals,
parades, flea markets, battle reenactments, living history, live theater, hunting, shopping, rodeos, golf, music, arts &

Cherokee Queen - Grove
Reminiscent of the paddlewheel riverboats of an earlier era, the Cherokee Queens offer scenic tours and romantic evening
cruises along Grand Lake’s shores. Guests pass beautiful homes, Shangri La Resort, Har-Ber Village and inspiring

Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame - Bernice
This 40,000 sq. ft. museum houses over 40 exotic vehicles, many historically significant and most priceless in value. Open
Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Near Bernice on Hwy 85A.

Four Wheelin’ at the Dam - Pensacola Dam
For extreme 4 X 4 action the base of Pensacola Dam offers terrain for all vehicles. Check out sheer rock faces to rugged
wooded trails. Drivers test their abilities at the “Rock Garden” and the “Nose Dive” throughout the year.

Har-Ber Village - Grove
One of the largest antique museums in the U.S., Har-Ber Village is a reconstructed turn-of-the-century village comprised of
over 100 buildings and collections. Endless collections of china, glassware, dolls, brass, household equipment, furnishings
and more are displayed in log cabins. The grounds are covered with displays of antique farm implements, a waterwheel and
other treasures from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Open daily 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. from March 1 to November 15. 918-786-3488

Pensacola Dam - Between Disney & Langley
The state’s oldest hydroelectric facility, this massive structure was completed in 1940. It dams roughly 46,500 surface acres
of water, creating Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. Its six generators have provided power to Oklahoma for over half a century.
Free tours, Memorial through Labor Day. The dam is what is what created one of the best Oklahoma Lakes

Golf Courses - Grand Lake Area
There are numerous public and semi-public courses in the Grand Lake area. Our golfing page lists the courses and
provides basic information about them. Contact the individual facilities for seasonal hours and reservations information.

Oklahoma State Parks - Grand Lake Area
The Grand Lake area is home to eight State Parks. Some have group picnic shelters and cabins; most offer camping  and
boat ramps. Check the link above for details.

South Grand Lake Municipal Airport
For many years the 1 K 8 airport has been a nice 3200’ grass runway known as Craig County Airport or Ketchum Airport. A
new airport authority has been formed, the name of the airport changed, and a Master Plan developed to build a full service
airport. The plan includes; 5,000’ hard surface runway, fuel, rental hangers, hanger lease plots, FBO facilities, lots for service
shops, and other amenities.
